About Me

Hi! I'm Andrew. Welcome to my website!

You're probably wondering, who is this guy writing all these posts on health and fitness, and why should I read his stuff?

Well, thanks for asking!

I've been a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) since 2012. Over the years, I've worked with many clients, specializing in strength training, weight loss, and mindset.

My fitness journey started in college. Although I ran track in high school, I wasn't into lifting or getting stronger until my first year at UMass Amherst. I started playing rugby and quickly found myself getting my scrawny ass kicked daily. I knew I needed to get stronger, so I started hitting the gym with a friend who showed me the ropes. Weight training and learning about fitness became a passion of mine.

At 24, I decided to turn this passion into a profession and became a certified trainer. I joined a gym, quickly grew my business, and discovered another passion: sales. I landed a job at Liberty Mutual selling insurance while keeping up my personal training on the side. Since then, I've worked in various sales roles, from software to education to video production.

For most of my adult life, I've juggled my two passions: fitness and sales. Now, I've decided to combine them by starting my own website and online coaching business. This isn't just about creating a fitness business; it's about integrating the valuable lessons I've learned from both industries.

Sales isn't just about making money; the best salespeople are present in the moment and can connect with others. This is a critical aspect that often isn't incorporated into fitness programming. I've learned how essential communication and relationship skills are to overall health, and I want to teach my clients these skills, too. Our health can only be so good on our own; we need good relationships to live a happy and healthy life.

Over the years, I've read hundreds of books on health, fitness, mindset, motivation, discipline, philosophy, self-compassion, communication, psychology, relationships, listening, patience, and many other disciplines. The knowledge I've gained from reading is the basis of my philosophy.

Living a healthy and purposeful life requires much more than a consistent exercise program and a good nutrition plan (though having those two things can do wonders).

I want to share my knowledge with the world and empower people to live their best lives while not being too hard on themselves.

You're already capable to reach whatever goal you set in your health and fitness journey, I'm just here to empower that capability.
